Frequently asked questions
How does the booking process work for dog transport?
It starts with a conversation. Reach out to us and we'll schedule a consultation to learn about your dog, discuss your route, talk through any special requirements and confirm all the details before your trip is booked. We will then send a contract outlining the details along with a Pet Emergency Authorization Form. Once these are filled out, signed and sent back to us with your deposit your dog is booked for travel!
Do you require vaccination or vet records?
Yes, for the safety of all animals in our care we require current vaccination records and a CVI (Certificate of Veterinary Inspection) often called a health certificate, issued from an accredited veterinarian 10-30 days prior to travel.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is based on route distance, tolls and any overnight accommodations. Contact us for a personalized quote.
What happens if there's a medical emergency on the road?
We plan every route with emergency veterinary locations mapped along the way. In the event of any health concern, we act immediately, contact you right away, and get your dog the care they need without hesitation. Every driver is American Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid Certified. Vetster is our 24/7 online vet care provider. We also include with every contract a Pet Emergency Authorization Form granting us authority to make emergency medical decisions for your dog, in the event that we are not able to contact you. This authorization is filled out by you to your specifications; you have control over what happens in an emergency.
